Hi! Since September 2021, I am Assistant Professor at IST Austria.

I am looking to hire PhD students and/or postdocs for my new research group. Applicants should have strong interest/expertise in combinatorics, discrete probability, or related areas. Prospective PhD students not already at IST should apply to the IST graduate school. Prospective postdocs should contact me directly, by email. Please include a CV and a short (e.g. one page) description of your research interests. Logistical details (starting date, etc.) are flexible. There are teaching opportunities but no obligations.

IST is an English-speaking scientific research institute in the Vienna woods, a 25 minute bus ride to the edge of Vienna city, and the conditions for students and postdocs are very good. Apart from my new group, there are several research groups in related areas of geometry, topology, probability and computer science.

Previously, I was Szegő Assistant Professor in the mathematics department of Stanford University. Before that, my doctoral studies were at ETH Zurich under the guidance of Benny Sudakov, and my undergraduate studies were at UNSW (Sydney), where my adviser was Catherine Greenhill. You can find my CV here.
